Check the current validity of your passport.

All travelers will need a passport valid for at least 90 days following your departure date from Venezuela. However, we strongly recommend traveling with 6 months validity on your passport at all times. Citizens of Canada can refer to www.passport.gc.ca for forms and instructions for new passport applications and Canadian passport renewals.

Make sure your passport has blank Visa pages.

Most destinations, including Venezuela, require that you have adequate un-used pages in your passport, allowing for any necessary stamps upon arrival and departure. We recommend that you have at least two free pages in Visas section of your passport before any international travel. Canadian citizens can get extra passport pages added to their passports at www.passport.gc.ca.

Confirm if transit visa is required for any connections.

Check with your airline in case you have connecting flights overseas as part of your journey to Venezuela. It may be the case that countries you pass through en route to your destination may require a separate transit visa. Please refer to visa requirements of the specific country.

2 Mail us the following documents:

Original, signed Canada passport with at least 6 months of remaining validity.

Passport-type photographs: 2

Itinerary. A photocopy of round trip tickets or a letter signed by a travel agent with confirmed round trip tickets. Itinerary is not acceptable unless showing ticket numbers and that the ticket is paid for.

Business Letter. A business letter from either the sending company in Canada or sponsoring company in Venezuela, on their letterhead stationary, addressed to The Embassy of Venezuela, and signed by a senior manager (an equivalent to Vice-President or above), briefly introducing the applicant (please specify employment status/position held in the company by applicant) and clearly stating the precise nature of the business to be conducted by applicant. If requesting a multiple entry visa, the letter should specifically request the multiple entry visa and explain why the applicant will be traveling to Venezuela so often.
